Nicholas & Sarah's Wedding- Bittersweet Farm, Westport MA

I had so much fun photographing Sarah and Nicholas’s wedding at Bittersweet Farm in Westport, MA. From the moment I met these two, I could tell they were just the most laid back and down to earth people. They made the whole day feel so easy, and their energy really set the tone for the entire celebration.

Sarah and Nicholas’s story goes back to 2018, when they met while they were both working in behavioral therapy for young children. They hit it off right away and have been inseparable ever since.

When it came to choosing a venue, they were immediately drawn to Bittersweet Farm. This place had the perfect mix of rustic charm and natural beauty, which was exactly what they were looking for. The barn itself was gorgeous, with its upstairs loft offering a spacious and cozy area for Sarah and her bridal party to get ready.

The Loft also turned out to be the perfect spot for Sarah’s first look with her dad. Which was such a sweet, emotional moment.

The outdoor ceremony space, surrounded by fall foliage and rock walls, couldn’t have been more picturesque. The sun was setting perfectly, casting a gorgeous golden light over everything, and the whole scene felt magical. I loved the way Nicholas looked when he saw Sarah walking down the aisle… his expression was pure awe, and it was such a beautiful moment to capture.

One thing that really stood out was how relaxed and easygoing Sarah and Nicholas were throughout the day. There was no stress, no rush… just a calm, joyful energy that made everything flow perfectly. Whether it was laughing with their friends, enjoying a quiet moment together, or just soaking in the day, they were truly in the moment, and it made everything so special.

As for the details, they were spot-on… Sarah’s makeup was done by Joanna Petit-Frere at Visage1studios, and her hair was styled by her sister-in-law, Kelly Gagnon. She looked absolutely gorgeous in her dress from Alexandra's Boutique, and the alterations from Tailor on the Avenue fit her perfectly. The flowers, created by Sarah’s sister-in-law, Kristi Martel from Golden Gate Studios were stunning, with the perfect mix of colors that complemented the venue’s rustic charm and the fall vibe. The Cake and desserts from Wright's Dairy Farm were, of course, a huge hit like always! Sarah also found adorable welcome signs on Etsy, which added a personal touch to the whole day. The music, provided by G3 Entertainment, kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long, with great songs that had everyone up and moving.

I’m so grateful I had the chance to be part of this wedding! It was such a fun, relaxed celebration, and I enjoyed capturing every moment. From the details to the way these two interacted with everyone around them, I feel lucky to have been able to help preserve these memories for them.

Last but not least, a big thank you to my amazing second photographer, Erin, for being a part of this day and helping me capture such beautiful images!
